Tyra Banks is a mom!
The former America’s Next Top Model host welcomed her first child, Yorks Banks Asla, to the world via surrogate, and wrote a sweet message on Wednesday to thank the “angel of a woman” who carried the baby to term.
“The best present we worked and prayed so hard for is finally here. He’s got my fingers and big eyes and his daddy Erik’s mouth and chin,” the 42-year-old model wrote on Instagram. “As we thank the angel of a woman that carried our miracle baby boy for us, we pray for everyone who struggles to reach this joyous milestone. York Banks Asla, welcome to the world.”

So wonderful!
Although she's a successful talk show host and a legendary supermodel, at 42 years old, there's one thing Tyra Banks is regretful about -- not being a mom.
"When I turned 40, the one thing I was not happy about is that I did not have kids," she tells People in a new interview. "I'm like, 'Damn, the clock is ticking!'"
The Tyra presents FABLife host, who's been dating photographer Erik Asla for two years now, reveals that has already undergone IVF treatments
This is Tyra’s first child with her photographer boyfriend Erik Asla. The new mom has opened up about her fertility struggles in the past, saying, “I’ve had some not happy moments with that, very traumatic moments.”
It’s difficult as you get older. It’s not something that can just happen,” she added in an interview to People. “Since I was 24, I used to say every year, ‘I will have kids in three years’… I kept saying it over and over again.”
