Emmanuel Adebayor reveals Andre Villas-Boas row

Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor has revealed how he criticised former Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas in front of team-mates.

The Togolese forward was exiled from Villas-Boas's side during a poor run of form which eventually led to the Portuguese's sacking in December.

Adebayor disagreed with Villas-Boas's tactics and says he made his point during a training session.

Passenger flow has seen a 20 percent increase over Thursday in snow-affected areas. 760 trains have been added and high-speed trains have reduced speed for safety. The slowdown has caused a delay of more than 20 high-speed trains.

U.S. wins first gold medal of 2014 Sochi Olympics

The United States clinched the first gold medal of Sochi's Winter Olympics Saturday, but the Dutch dominated on ice and a joint record was claimed by Norway.

An upset opened the day's events in Russia when Team U.S.A's Sage Kotsenburg, 20, scooped the first gold in men's snowboard slopestyle. Kotsenburg tweeted his surprise at the win.

Kotsenburg's winning score of 93.5 edged out silver medal winner Staale Sandbech, 20, while Canadian Mark McMorris, also 20, took bronze.

Gbemisola Saraki, Kwara APC chieftains defect to PDP

Ilorin – Sen. Gbemisola Saraki and some chieftains of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara and their supporters, on Saturday, moved en masse to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Mr Lola Ashiru, an APC chieftain in Offa, Kwara, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, also of APC and Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, the governorship candidate of the CPC in the 2011 elections were among those who defected to the PDP.
