  • A late, late winner from hat-trick hero Sergio Aguero left Manchester City with a great chance of advancing to the last 16

Somehow, by some miracle of mathematics and against all logic, Manchester City are still in Europe. Not just in, but very much contenders. A draw in Rome could do it. A win almost certainly would. The Last Chance Saloon that has been their local almost since this group began remains open.
How, heaven knows? It is one of those inexplicable concepts like black holes or universal infinity. City scored two late goals, beat Bayern Munich and are in the box seat to qualify. Perhaps that nice Dr Brian Cox can explain it.

That they got a win here at all was thanks to the most unlikely phenomenon – a misplaced pass from Xabi Alonso. Pitch perfect for the rest of the game, a square one was cut out by substitute Stevan Jovetic with five minutes remaining and City were free.
Sergio Aguero was on goal like a flash, drew Manuel Neuer and stuck it in the corner, his second of the night. What a player. Take him away and where on earth would City be this season?
Out of this tournament that’s for sure. In the last minute, he won the game. This time it was an error by Jerome Boateng that left him one on one. Nobody was in any doubt about the outcome from there. The finish was sublime. Aguerrroooo – as the like to say around these parts.
These are the first points Munich have dropped in the competition this season but at times it looked embarrassing for Manuel Pellegrini and his men, making such hard work of it from the outset. They were a man and a goal up midway through the first-half, surrendered that lead before half-time and a Frank Lampard shot in the second-half aside barely threatened until gifted a return to the game.
Manuel Neuer saved the Lampard effort – strong hands as ever – but he should have been under siege, not dealing with pot shots from a 36-year-old. City were missing big names – Yaya Toure and David Silva – but that is no excuse. Enough has been spent here for there to be strength in depth and the defence was strong. They should not need Aguero’s rescue act. They should be about more than the magnificence of one player.

Your webcam is been hacked

The public is being warned about a website containing links to thousands of live feeds of baby monitors, stand-alone webcams and CCTV systems.

Data watchdogs across the world have drawn attention to the Russian-based site, which broadcasts footage from systems using either default passwords or no log-in codes at all.
The kit has not been "hacked", rather software and search tools have been used to scan the net for feeds that can be accessed using the cameras' default settings.
China-based Foscam was the most commonly listed brand of camera, followed by Linksys and then Panasonic.
Costas Tsivicos, from Foscam's UK distributor, talked to the BBC's Dave Lee about the issue.

Evil Joanna Grabowsk has been sentenced to life in jail after plotting the death of her charity worker husband Piotr.
Jacek Pawalak and Lukasz Kaminski pounced on wheelchair-bound Piotr then strangled him with a belt, a court heard.

Grabowski, 30, wanted Piotr dead because he refused her demands to allow her to bring a lover back to their home in Olsztyn, Poland.
And a court heard how she had sex with both his killers immediately after the savage murder.
Grabowski met caring Piotr while he was a member of the Catholic aid charity Caritas – a group that was financially supporting the mum and her five children.

The most germ-ridden object in your house, Definitely NOT the toilet

Would you rub your face and hands on a toilet seat before leaving the house for work in the morning?
Probably not, but it might shock you to find that germ-ridden towels could be the most dangerous culprits when it comes to spreading bugs around the home.

Researchers say they are more likely to be home to more bacteria than other household items because they are used in the most germ-ridden area of the house.
They are also used to wipe hands and surfaces that might have been used with raw meat products.

HTC Desire EYE Review: More Than Just A Selfie Phone

I’m going to be completely honest here and admit that when HTC announced the Desire EYE I rolled my eyes dramatically. What, I thought, is the point of a phone so focused on taking selfies. I know that pictures of yourself are the in thing – a trend I really don’t understand – but are they so important that we need to give the same quality of imaging to them as we do the rear camera.
So when HTC handed me a Desire EYE to test at their Nexus 9 event the other day I was very, very keen to see what this phone had to offer beyond a gimmick aimed at getting traction for the company with the younger phone buyer.
The shocking truth of the Desire EYE is this – I like it. And I don’t just like it a little bit, I like this phone a lot.

Some caveats to my adoration
I want to be very clear and up-front here, there are things about HTC’s phones that have bothered me for a while, but I was never able to put my finger on. Well, I’ve worked it out. I just don’t like HTC Sense, which is the UI the company has built around the standard look of Android.
I worked this out after playing with the HTC Desire Eye for a bit, out of interest I switched the launcher over to the Google Now version. Google offers this free to any Android user that wants a more Nexus-like experience, and it replaces things like the app tray and homescreen layout. I also, for the first time ever, had a fiddle with the display fonts and removed HTC’s rather ugly typeface, and switched to Helvetica.
HTC Desire Eye
Some might say that, in so doing, I have removed what HTC is from the phone, and turned it into a more generic phone. I can see the argument there, but I so rarely used any of the HTC widgets and trinkets that it makes no difference to me. Plus, most of the functionality remains. You can still use Zoe, HTC’s camera app for example.
I could go further, and strip out HTC’s keyboard, but the truth is it’s actually rather good, and one of the better at dealing with mistakes and allowing you to go back and correct them. For example, I love the way I can go back to a corrected word, using the delete key, and it offers to restore the original word, as typed.

Thirteen years after the 9/11 terrorist attack, World Trade Center is opening for business again.
Conde Nast will start moving Monday into One World Trade Center, a 104-story, $3.9 billion skyscraper that dominates the Manhattan skyline.
It's the centerpiece of the 16-acre site where the decimated twin towers once stood and where more than 2,700 people died on Sept. 11, 2001, buried under smoking mounds of fiery debris.
"The New York City skyline is whole again, as One World Trade Center takes its place in Lower Manhattan," said Patrick Foye, executive director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey that owns both the building and the World Trade Center site.
He said One World Trade Center "sets new standards of design, construction, prestige and sustainability; the opening of this iconic building is a major milestone in the transformation of Lower Manhattan into a thriving 24/7 neighborhood."
